Geoff Lawson, Pakistan's Australian coach, has apologised for a row with the media after Sunday's Asia Cup defeat by Sri Lanka in Karachi. Lawson said at the post-match news conference: "A couple of rules before we start: don't make statements, ask questions. If someone asks the question twice I won't answer it, and make your question sensible otherwise I won't answer it, okay." This led to a heated exchange with some journalists, who accused him of trying to dictate to the media, and a walkout. Lawson said on Monday: "What happened was regrettable and I would like to apologise for the events that led to the incident."
